MiraBay takes top honors at building conference

Apollo Beach, Florida, January 16, 2007 - The community of MiraBay® was recognized with two prestigious Excel Awards during the recent Southeast Building Conference in Orlando, Florida.

Sponsored by the Florida Home Builders Association's Sales & Marketing Council, the Excel Awards program recognizes excellence in sales and marketing, says Diana Hilton, marketing manager for MiraBay.

The first honor - a gold Excel Award - was presented to MiraBay for best direct-mail piece among master-planned communities with homes priced more than $500,000. The 9-minute DVD highlighted the community's amenities, homes and lifestyle.

The next Excel was a silver Million Dollar Sales Achiever award given to new-home specialist Lori Rowell, who generated about $15 million in sales at MiraBay between March 2005 and April 2006.

Even before its first models opened, MiraBay was honored by the Hillsborough County City-County Planning Commission for having the Tampa Bay-area's best master-planned community design, and recently earned that honor for the second time. It features a 3.5-mile canal system and direct deep-water access to Tampa Bay.

When completed in about six years, this 750-acre community is expected to provide more than 1,900 residences priced from the high-$300s to more than $5 million including homesite.

To reach MiraBay, take Interstate 75 south to exit 246, then turn left on County Road 672 (Big Bend Road). At U.S. 41, turn left (south) and go 3.7 miles to MiraBay's community entrance on the right. The welcome center is on the left, inside the community. From the south, take I-75 to exit 240, turn left on County Road 674 and go to U.S. 41. Turn right (north) and proceed to MiraBay on the left.
